A trip to Las Vegas conjures images of pool parties, casinos and drive-thru weddings not visits to Museums! But whilst I love all those Vegas activities, every time I visit I try and adventure a little off the strip to find some of the other wonders that surround the city.
On my last visit I took a trip downtown to The Neon Museum, a non-profit museum founded in 1996 to showcase a collection of iconic signs from Las Vegas hotels and strip and to preserve the history of these important pieces.
Due to the nature of the exhibit the museum is only open for 1 hour guided tours which should be booked well in advance of your visit to avoid disappointment. The tour includes a detailed history of the signs and the opportunity to capture some pretty awesome pictures at the same time!So next time you are in Vegas, make sure to find some time between the partying to visit!
I hope that this article has inspired you to visit The Neon Museum. If you have any questions or comments please share in the comments below.
